A Summary of the Best Janet Evanovich Books
Below is an overview of some of the best Janet Evanovich books. These summaries include her Lizzy and Diesel series, the Knight and Moon series, Alexandra Barnaby series, and the Full series.
1. Wicked Appetite
Diesel has no choice but to appear in Salem after the news that the SALIGIA, the seven stones of power representing the Seven Deadly Sins, are seen in Boston. He partnered with Elizabeth Tucker, otherwise known as Lizzie, a pastry baker from Salem, to recover them.
Lizzie is an unmentionable witch who has the talent for locating things. Diesel’s cousin, Gerwulf Grimoire, a genius hardened criminal with an insatiable desire for the forbidden, is also hunting for Invidia, the stone representing gluttony.
Battling through the hurdles in Salem and beyond together, Diesel and Lizzie, with her adopted odd one-eyed cat and Carl the monkey, set out to track and find the stones. But, unfortunately, that won’t be easy as they have Gerwulf and the Invidia stone to contend with.
2. Wicked Business
Gilbert Reedy was an English Professor at Harvard University before he was killed and thrown from the fourth floor of his home. He had a nineteenth-century sonnet book containing clues to find Luxuria: The third stone in the SALAGIA. Luxaria is believed to induce lust.
The battle between Lizzie and Diesel with Gerwulf Grimoire continues as Gerwulf is determined to find the stones to become very powerful, and Diesel wants to stop him.
Armed with the clues found in Gilbert Reedy’s book of sonnets, Lizzie and Diesel set out to look for Luxuria with Gerwulf and his minions on their tail and Anarchy, a mysterious woman who also wants the stone. They have also had to deal with the sexual tension that is increasingly growing between them.
3. Wicked Charms
The adventures of Lizzie and Diesel continue. This time they are looking for the stone of Avarice, the second stone of the SALAGIA stones.
Avarice was part of a famous pirate’s treasure which Collier Dazzle, a notorious smuggler, found and re-hid before he was killed and mummified. They need to find a treasure map and a ship that can sail the seven seas, neither of which is easy to find. Gerwulf is also hunting for the stone and Martin Ammon who believes he is Mammon, the demon god.
4. Curious Minds
This is the first book in the Knight and Moon series. It features an eccentric but likable, handsome introverted human who doesn’t know how to relate with others effectively and has a knack for solving mysteries: Emerson Knight. Riley Moon, on the other hand, is an extrovert with a ferocious attitude and a degree from Harvard Law and Harvard Business.
Moon thought she had just landed her dream job as a junior analyst with a mega-bank. That was until her boss told her to babysit Emerson Knight. What starts as an inquiry into Knight’s missing bank funds leads to inquires about a missing man, missing gold, and a life-and-death race across the country.
5. Dangerous Mind
When Emerson Knight found out that the island of Wayan Bagus had gone missing without a trace, he knew he had to solve this unsolvable mystery. He would never let it pass him by.
His clues led him to a bigger and sinister secret guarded by the National Park Service. He will need help to solve this mystery and who else would fit in other than Riley Moon and his cousin, Vernon.
6. Metro Girl
Metro Girl is the first in Janet Evanovich’s Alexandra Barnaby series.

That was until she met Sam Hooker. His boat has been stolen, and all clues lead to Wild Bill. He has no choice but to follow Barnaby and hope they find her wayward younger brother.
7. Motor Mouth
Alexandra Barnaby is NASCAR driver Sam Hooker’s race-day spotter, telling Hooker when to pass and when to get off the gas. From her vantage point she’s also seeing things going on in the infield that will change her life. Things that will lead to a stolen racecar hauler, a kidnapped Saint Bernard, a bizarre murder, and some restless nights under the covers with Hooker.
Troublemaker is a Barnaby and Hooker graphic novel illustrated by Joëlle Jones. It is written by Janet and Alex Evanovich.
Trouble never seems to leave Sam Hooker and Alexandra Barnaby, and they always get their fill of it. Rosa Florez has been kidnapped, and her kidnapping was linked to a cunning voodoo priest obsessing over a mysterious stolen statue.
Barnaby and Hooker set out to find her leaving a lot of chaos and disorder in their wake.

11. Full Speed
Journalist Jamie Swift and millionaire Max Holt drive each other crazy when they work together – but they just can’t stop. Especially when they both have their reasons for wanting to investigate a charismatic preacher with suspected ties to the Mob and a long history with his female church members.

12. Full Blast
Jamie Swift is facing the story of a lifetime that could make or break her. Someone from her newspaper’s Lonely Heart’s column has murdered a local woman.
To find the killer, and save her newspaper, Jamie will have to call in mega-handsome millionaire genius Max Holt, who right now is still frustratingly far from becoming anything more than just her business partner.
But the real problem isn’t that Jamie wants to get closer to Max, it’s that the killer wants to get closer to Jamie.
13. Full Bloom
Annie Fortenberry is the newest entrepreneur in Beaumont, South Carolina. Annie has inherited her grandmother’s B&B. A psychic in the area said that Annie also inherited a spirit from its glory days as a brothel – not the publicity Peachtree Bed & Breakfast wants when hosting millionaire Max Holt’s wedding.
As if the rumors about a ghost-prankster weren’t enough, a man mysteriously appears with his eye on Annie and her master suite. All leather and jeans, Wes Bridges is straddling a Harley and sending the B&B’s testosterone levels through the roof. Annie’s cool demeanor is dropping just as quickly as Wes’s jeans.

Audacious, handsome, and dangerously charming, Nicolas Fox is a natural con man. At first he did it for the money. Now, he does it for the thrill.
He knows the FBI has been hot on his trail – particularly Kate O’Hare, who has been watching his every move. For Nick, there’s no greater rush than being pursued by a beautiful woman…even one who aims to lock him up.
