Raven Kennedy Books in Order: All Series & Standalones

If you’re looking for Raven Kennedy books in order, the simplest place to start is with her series. Kennedy writes across dark romantasy, fantasy romance, paranormal romance, shifter romance, and romcom, so her bibliography is easier to follow once you separate the books by series.

Most readers know her because of The Plated Prisoner, but that’s only one part of her catalog. She also has the Cupidity books, the Pack of Misfits series, several co-written paranormal romances, and a Pied Piper-inspired romantasy series.

Here’s the full Raven Kennedy reading order, including her solo books, series, standalones, collaborations, and shared-world books.

Where to Start with Raven Kennedy

If you’re new to Raven Kennedy, I’d start based on the kind of book you actually want.

Start with Gild if you want her best-known dark romantasy series. That’s the first book in The Plated Prisoner, and it’s the obvious starting point for readers coming from Sarah J. Maas, Jennifer L. Armentrout, or BookTok romantasy.

Start with Signs of Cupidity if you want the first published Raven Kennedy series. It’s a fantasy romcom with a cupid heroine, why-choose romance, and a much lighter personality than The Plated Prisoner.

Start with Addie if you want shifter romance with linked standalones. Each Pack of Misfits book focuses on a different character, but I’d still begin with book one.

If you want a finished story, choose The Plated Prisoner, Heart Hassle, or Pack of Misfits before starting Played by the Piper.

Raven Kennedy Books in Order by Series

Raven Kennedy’s series are separate from each other. You don’t need to read Heart Hassle before The Plated Prisoner, and you don’t need to read her co-written books before her solo series.

If you’re browsing by series, start with the first book listed under the series you want.

Cupidity and Heart Hassle Series

The Heart Hassle books are fantasy romcoms about cupids, fae, romance, and chaos. This is the lighter, funnier side of Kennedy’s fantasy romance catalog, though it’s still written for adults.

  1. Signs of Cupidity (2018)
  2. Bonds of Cupidity (2018)
  3. Crimes of Cupidity (2019)
  4. For the Love of Cupidity (2019)
  5. Sheer Cupidity (2022)

Can’t Fix Cupid is a standalone romance set in the Cupid world. You can read it on its own, but I’d place it after the main Heart Hassle books if you’re already reading that world in order.

Savannah Heirs Series

Savannah Heirs is a dark romance series co-written with CoraLee June. It sits outside Kennedy’s fantasy romance series, so don’t mix it into Plated Prisoner or Heart Hassle continuity.

  1. Cruel (2019)
  2. Tame (2019)
  3. Wild (2019)

Pack of Misfits Series

Pack of Misfits is a shifter romance series about Pack Aberrant. Each book focuses on a different character, but the pack story carries across the series, so I’d still start with Addie.

  1. Addie (2019)
  2. Reese (2020)
  3. Jetta (2020)

Void Universe

The Void Universe books were co-written with CoraLee June. They’re separate from Kennedy’s solo fantasy romance books.

  1. Void (2019)
  2. Wicked Webs (2019)

Hellgate Guardians Series

Hellgate Guardians is a paranormal romance series co-written with Ivy Asher. Read these in order, since the books follow the same main setup across the series.

  1. Grave Mistakes (2020)
  2. Grave Consequences (2020)
  3. Grave Decisions (2020)
  4. Grave Signs (2020)

The Plated Prisoner Series

The Plated Prisoner is Kennedy’s dark romantasy series inspired by King Midas. It follows Auren, the gold-touched woman kept by Midas, and it should be read in order from book one.

For a deeper guide to this series, including what to know before starting Gild, see my full Plated Prisoner series order article.

  1. Gild (2020)
  2. Glint (2021)
  3. Gleam (2021)
  4. Glow (2022)
  5. Gold (2023)
  6. Goldfinch (2024)

Played by the Piper Series

Played by the Piper is Kennedy’s Pied Piper-inspired romantasy series. It’s separate from The Plated Prisoner, so you can start it without reading Auren’s story first.

  1. The Sweetest Fiend (2026)

Raven Kennedy Standalone and Shared-World Books

These books don’t fit neatly into Kennedy’s main solo series list. Some are standalones, and some are co-written or part of a shared world.

Standalone Books

Co-Written and Shared-World Books

Conveniently Convicted belongs to the Paranormal Prison shared world. Rabid belongs to the Kingdom of Wolves shared world, but it can be read as a standalone.

Do You Need to Read Raven Kennedy Books in Order?

You don’t need to read all Raven Kennedy books in one giant order. Her series are separate, so pick the one you want and follow that series order.

Inside each series, order matters more. Read The Plated Prisoner in order because it follows one continuous story. Read Heart Hassle in order because the relationships and world build across the books. I’d also read Pack of Misfits in order, even though each book centers on a different character.

The standalones and shared-world books are more flexible. Those are better treated as extras once you know which side of Kennedy’s writing you like best.

Who Is Raven Kennedy?

Raven Kennedy is an adult romance and fantasy romance author best known for The Plated Prisoner, her dark romantasy series inspired by King Midas.

Her books don’t all have the same tone, which is why her bibliography is worth breaking down by series. The Plated Prisoner is darker and more fantasy-heavy. Heart Hassle is much more playful. Pack of Misfits leans into shifter romance, while her co-written books bring in paranormal romance, dark romance, and shared-world stories.

That range is also why I wouldn’t tell every new reader to start in the exact same place. If you want the series most readers talk about first, start with Gild. If you want something lighter and funnier, start with Signs of Cupidity. If you want shifters, start with Addie.
